Itinerary
Pickup at Kigali International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, a 4–5 hour guided Kigali city tour covering the city's culture, history, and modern centre — highlights may include the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko Market, and Kigali Convention Centre. Return to the hotel to rest ahead of the gorilla trek.
Breakfast, then transfer toward Ruhengeri with a short tour of Lakes Burera and Ruhondo — rolling hills, clear water, and the volcanic skyline (approximately 3 hours' driving in this region). Continue to Volcanoes National Park, check in, lunch, and overnight.
Early breakfast, then transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for 7:00am registration and briefing by Rwanda Development Board rangers. Trek 2–6 hours through rainforest to a habituated gorilla family; once located, spend one hour observing them. Carry packed lunch and drinking water. Collect your certificate at headquarters, then transfer to Kigali for an evening international flight — end of tour.
